Reception Following the Unveiling of Eleanor Roosevelt's Portrait

This photograph is of President Lyndon B. Johnson with guests at a reception in the State Dining Room following the presentation of First Lady Eleanor's portrait in the East Room on February 4, 1966. First Lady Lady Bird Johnson spearheaded the effort to acquire the portrait and the White House Historical Association purchased it for the White House Collection.
